What is the Apps lab?
The RMI Laser applications lab was developed for the purpose of helping our customers achieve the best results for their laser marking needs. We use our expertise to test various methods of marking samples provided by the customer in order to provide the best possible solution. In most cases clients are very pleased with the marking results, however, in the unusual event that a laser marking solution is not suited for the customer’s needs, those results will be provided without the customer incurring any expense beyond providing the samples. . We provide the marking results, the marking time required for each type of mark and the settings and type of laser used in the tests.
How it works...Just call us and we will discuss your marking application in great detail. Then we'll schedule for the samples to be shipped to RMI. Since all materials can vary (especially plastics), it is important to make sure that the samples you send are exactly the same as those that will eventually be marked in production. For example, a reformulation of the plastic composition may result in a different color or speed of marking. There is no obligation or fee for this testing; we only ask that you have a genuine interest in our laser marking solution.
Once the samples are run we will provide the results and review them with you. Should you decide to proceed, we will work with you to choose the best product and best configuration to meet your needs.
What you will receive...You will receive a free analysis and a compatibility report of our laser marking solution for your specific parts or products. This will include the return of the marked samples for your inspection including the marking time and setting/parameters of the laser marking system(s). Making the decision to invest in laser marking technology for your marking needs is a big step and should not be made without seeing how it will work in on your parts in advance.
